Mr. Womack’s practice focuses on the representation of clients in civil litigation, both trial and appellate, throughout Texas and the country. Over the past two decades, Mr. Womack has handled many complex and difficult litigation and arbitration matters, including cases involving business litigation, securities law, employment and discrimination litigation, executive compensation and agreements, lender liability cases, partnership and fiduciary law, information technology issues, ERISA fiduciary obligations, insurance and construction cases.
Mr. Womack has recently obtained favorable resolutions involving large payments to his clients in cases involving disability discrimination, wrongful termination of employment under contracts based on foreign and U.S. law, and the arbitrations or mediation of securities fraud claims. He also has obtained a jury verdict for his client in a matter involving the break up of a business partnership and the claims by the partner for breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and breach of contract.
Mr. Womack brings his clients his experience trying cases to judgment and arguing numerous appeals, which enables him to offer them his insights into the best way to bring a case to a successful resolution, whether that involves settlement, mediation, trial, arbitration, or an appeal. Having decided on the best course, he can then bring his experience in each area to bear to achieve the best conclusion in each matter.
Mr. Womack graduated from the University of Texas with highest honors and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa (B.A., 1978). In 1982, Mr. Womack graduated from The University of Texas School of Law. He was the Senior Articles Editor of the Texas International Law Journal in 1981-1982, and was a member of the Legal Research Board. He authored Mere Intent To Violate Criminal Statute, Texas International Law Journal, 1981. While in law school, he received the American Jurisprudence Award for highest grade in Legal Research.
Mr. Womack has practiced law in Washington D.C. and in Houston, Texas. While practicing in Houston, he has served as a Panel Chairman of the State Bar of Texas District 4H-I Grievance Committee.
